Spacious and bright, its 236 luxurious rooms and suites reveal an elegant and classic atmosphere where the focus is on space, light and the incredible view of Lake Geneva. Its six restaurants and bars - as well as a 24-hour singing service - offer a wide selection of delicacies that will satisfy even the most demanding palates. In the morning, meet us at the Palmeraie for breakfast, then the Montreux Jazz Café or the MP's Bar & Grill, which will welcome you for lunch or dinner. Finally, end your evening with the sound of the heady music of Funky Claude's Bar. In summer, la Terrasse du Petit Palais also welcomes you for lunch or dinner with a magnificent view overlooking the lake.

At the lower level, the Fairmont Spa and its 2000m2 of dedicated spaces will soothe your body and mind with luxurious facilities including steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pools, relaxation room and sun beds in our gardens. Our treatments and massages are the perfect fit to relax your senses in an oasis of calm.

Fairmont Le Montreux Palace also specializes in hosting conferences, meetings and seminars. The hotel offers 15 meeting and conference rooms in a modern decor that can accommodate between 10 and 1200 people for galas, conferences, events and weddings. All rooms are equipped with high-performance internet access, high ceilings with natural light.

Arrival (Check-in/Check-out)

Check in is from 3pm onwards. Check out is until noon. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability, additional charges may apply. The hotel is located in the heart of the city of Montreux within two minutes walk from the Montreux Music Convention Center, and within five minutes walk from the train station and city center. The hotel is situated within 60 minutes drive from Geneva airport (car/train), and within 30 minutes drive from the city of Lausanne.

What were your positive impressions?

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Seeblick gebucht. Deshalb waren wir sehr angenehm überrascht, dass wir in der Präsidentensuite untergebracht waren. Das gesamte Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es war auch sehr angenehm, einige der Musikvereine direkt im Hotel anhören zu können. Ausserdem gab es kurze Wege zum Kongresszentrum und zur Bushaltestelle.

Freundliches Personal am Empfang und Zimmer, auch während der hektischen Zeit des Eidg. Musikfestes.

What were your negative impressions?

Wir wurden an der Hotelbar und auch im Restaurant am Abend abgewiesen, da es angeblich ausgebucht war. Wir wurden nicht freundlich behandelt obwohl wir auch wohlhabende Kunden sein konnten. Die Badewanne hatte beim Bezug des Zimmers noch Haare und am Badewannenrand war es in den Fugen schwarz.

We got upgraded to a deluxe room with a lake view on the 5th floor and the view was incredible, as was the room itself. All of the staff were discreet and very polite. The breakfast spread was superb too.

The front desk gave me a hard time when the housing service bungled my hotel reservation. It took an AOCS representative to clear up the inappropriate billing to my credit card.

ich fand es schön, dass es eine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer hatte, doch fand ich es bemühend, dass ab 6 Kapseln pro Tag ein Betrag von Fr. 3.00 belastet würde. Das hat mich etwas verärgert - ich finde, dass ist am falschen Ort gespart.

You changed the wifi access during my stay without noticing me. Result: Hours of wasted time trying to get online! Scratches and marks in the surface of the coffee table, looked like poorly maintaned. A pity, since the room otherwise was wonderful. (Room 77).

What were your positive impressions?

very friendly staff at location. Front desk and door entrance staff remembering me, even though they had only seen me once and that was a couple weeks back. Very impressive in regards to the size of the Hotel and the people coming and going each day. Wow!
