Domaine Ruchonnet - Tasting bundle

Description

Welcome to Domaine Ruchonnet

Since around 1414, the Ruchonnet family has been running a wine estate in Rivaz, Switzerland. Passed down from generation to generation, the estate has been managed by Sébastien Ruchonnet and his sister Anne-Catherine since 2003. The vineyards are located in the heart of the Lavaux region, planted on the spectacular sunny terraces of the Grand Cru Saint-Saphorin and Dézaley appellations. Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its terraced vineyards that stretch for around 30 kilometres along the northern shore of Lake Geneva. The profession of winemaker is above all a passion, born of a love of the land and high-quality wines. Through manual labour, vintage after vintage, we take care of our vines with respect for nature, which has earned us PER (Ecological Services Required in Viticulture) certification. Keen to preserve the characteristics of each terroir, we age our wines in the traditional way, applying the knowledge and techniques of modern oenology. Our efforts are regularly rewarded with medals and diplomas. To taste our wines and discover our heritage, we welcome you to our panoramic terrace overlooking Lake Geneva.

During your tasting, we offer the following wines:

- Les 5 Vigneronnes: This white wine, from the Saint-Saphorin/Rivaz appellation, is made from the Chasselas grape variety. Chasselas originates from Lavaux. It is a light and fruity wine.
- Côte d'Or: This white wine, from the Dézaley appellation, is made from the Chasselas grape variety. It is a fine, mineral wine.
- Savagnin Rosé: This white wine, from the Saint-Saphorin/Rivaz appellation, is made from the Gewürztraminer (Savagnin Rosé) grape variety. It is a very aromatic wine with notes of rose petals.
- La Vieille Garde: This red wine, also from the Saint-Saphorin/Rivaz appellation, is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay. Light and fruity, it is typical of the Lavaux region.
 - Vent du Large: This red wine, from the Lavaux appellation, is a blend of Gamaret, Garanoir, Diolinoir, Merlot and Sarah. It is a full-bodied red wine with a slight hint of vanilla from oak barrel ageing.

During your visit, Mr Ruchonnet will be on site, but it will mainly be his colleague, Esra Oner, who will accompany you
