What were your negative impressions?

Als ich um 23 Uhr ins Zimmer kam, liefen kleine Käfer (Wanzen?) auf dem unhygienischen Spannteppich herum. Ich habe mindestens 12 davon mit dem Schuh zerquetscht. Für eine Reklamation auf der Rezeption und einen allfälligen Zimmerwechsel war ich zu spät. Ich musste eine Schlaftablette nehmen. Völlig unakzeptabel! Bitte - mindestens teilweise - Geld zurück! Ein sehr schönes altes Gebäude. Vieles im Original-Steel belassen, was sehr schön war.

Das Badezimmer war sehr alt und zum Teil nicht sauber. Armaturen verkalkt, der Wasserhahn tropfte die ganze Nacht, Badewanne schon gelb und rau. Abflüsse weis vor Kalk. Haare klebten am Badezimmerschrank, die nicht von mir waren.

sehr gute Lage, freundlicher Empfang Die Dame konnte schlecht deutsch und ich kein französisch, irgendwie haben wir uns trotzdem verstanden! das gibt so spezielle und zum amüsante Begegnungen!

Dusche: Die Halterung der Dusche war sehr locker, konnte schlecht bis gar nicht anders gerichtet werden!

Obwohl ich elektronisch gebucht habe mit Adressen etc. mussten wir an der Reception wieder alle Angaben angeben. - Obermühsam. Das Hotel ist absolut Sanierungsbedürftig und eher peinlich...

Die Dame an der Reception hatte null Servicegedaken, alles war ihr zuviel. Obwohl ich mit einer Gruppe angereist war und alle ein Bus-Billet verlangten, warf sie meines in den Kübel. Ich habe vergessen danach explizit zu fragen) ich dachte das sei automatisch bei den Unterlagen dabei. Daher miserabler Service.

The hotel is nicely situated in Montreux and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately the room we occupied does not have air-conditioning which made the room very warm.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location for Lake Geneva and Montreux. The room was smaller than I expected but still comfortable. The food in La Brasserie was good although relatively expensive and with smaller portions.

The breakfast buffet is very poor. On both mornings there were not enough for the guests and the selection is not what should be expected from a large hotel serving a broad international clientele.

Cet hôtel est tout simplement très vieux, le mobilier est vieux, la salle de bain est complétement à refaire, les fenêtres ferment mal et laissent passer le bruit de la rue, le petit déjeuner est de mauvaise qualité, le personnel au petit déjeuner pourrait faire un effort d’amabilité, le restaurant en bas de l'hôtel est médiocre.

I know some rooms have been bought up to date. Some rooms could do with the shower being updated. wall lights in corridors should be repaired and updated. Option of some cooked breakfast would be nice.

Die Zimmer im 4. Stock bieten eine schöne Sicht über die Stadt. Der Garten des Restaurants war sehr angenehm an diesen Hitzetagen.

In den Zimmern im 4. Stock war es an diesen Hitzetagen schwierig, am Abend die Hitze aus dem Zimmer zu kriegen.

Hotel mit Charme, schöne Zimmer auch wenn die Bäder etwas aufgefrischt resp. renoviert werden könnten. Preis-Leistung im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels jedoch i.o. und ausreichend für 1. Nacht Aussicht (Nr. 234) und Lage Top.

Teppich im Korr. 2. OG dürfte mal gereinigt werden. Sieht mehr als abgenutzt aus.

I appreciated that everything was done on my behalf and I had to only supply my credit card number.

I did not appreciate the fact that it was not communicated to me that I had to go somewhere to buy my tickets for Santa train. it was included on the same bill as the hotel one and automatically I thought that tickets would be waiting for me at the hotel. There was a whole confusion later with hotel staff. Not very nice when you have to run around with the kids.

We were not told about free Montreux Riviera card at the hotel. This card offers free city communication and significant discounts for local trains. Thankfully lady at the train station told us about it, before we bought tickets to Rochers de Naye. However it costed us time to return to the hotel, and we missed the train, had to go next one an our later.

Zimmer hat nach Rauch gestunken. Nach rwklamation jedoch gleich ein neuea Zummer erhalten, welches dann erstaunlicherweise auch viel schöner war! Parkplatz pro Nacht und nicht pro Tag zu bezahlen, speziell.

Das Personal versucht nach Kräften aus einem heruntergekommenen Haus das Beste zu machen. Alle waren freundlich, entgegenkommend und hilfsbereit.

Das Duschen war ein Abenteuer (kein Druck, heiss/kalt nicht einstellbar), das Frühstück war recht fantasielos und ohne grosse Begeisterung serviert.

Wenn man mit einem Auto anreist, ist es ratsam bei der Buchung einen Parkplatz zu reservieren. Das Frühstücksbuffet könnte schöner gestaltet sein.

Sehr schöner Blumenschmuck in der Halle! Schöne stilvolle Räume wie Spielzimmer, Halle, Speisesaal, etc.

Zimmer 121: Das Fenster geht auf ein Blechdach hinaus. Vor dem Fenster stand eine halbleere Colaflasche, und es lagen Zigarettenstummel herum. Beim Frühstücksangebot gefällt mir persönlich der ökologische Gedanke. Also lieber 2 - 3 verschiedene Confitüren im Glas aufstellen als diese kleinen Fertiggläschen.
